Background

Professor Günter Siegel was born on the 10th May in Zwickau Saxonia. In 1963 he had his medical pre-examination part 1 (Vorphysikum) and in 1964 medical pre-examination part 2 (Physikum). In the winter term of 1964-1965 he undertook studies at the second medical faculty at the University of Heidelberg Klinikum Mannheim. Summer term 1966 he studied at the Ludwig-Maximillians University of Munich.  Winter term 1966-67 to 1967/98 he studied at the second medical faculty of the University of Heidelberg Klinnikum Mannheim and in 1968 he took his state examination there.
